PURPOSE: The objectives of Xi Sigma Pi are to secure and maintain a high standard of scholarship in forestry and natural resource education, to work for the improvement of the forestry profession, and to promote a fraternal spirit among those engaged in activities related to the forest.

ELIGIBILITY: Junior, Senior or Graduate student standing in forestry or closely related natural resources field. Must have successfully completed a set number of credit hours in forestry or natural resources curriculum.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES: Annual or semi-annual induction ceremony at local chapters. National business meeting and social annually at the Society of American Foresters international conference.
